Year of the Tiger!

We purposely skipped or were too lazy to send a holiday card to close out 2009; instead, we're stealing our sister-in-law's idea and sent this Happy New Year card to family and friends far and near:

We also waited on the greeting card to include a little announcement to our new blog and our soon arriving little one. So, if you are tuning in by route of this card, WELCOME!! Glad you can join us :o)

Quick update: I am 16 and a half weeks or 4 months along. We'll try to find out the sex of the baby at an ultrasound appointment on March 5th. I don't feel much difference between this baby and Katelinh thus far; although, I don't recall much of the pregnancy details with Katelinh. I have been asked whether or not I am having twins on more than one occasion in the past couple weeks. Not very flattering on my figure! Regardless, I am happy to be healthy with the belly as I am eating well, sleep long (on nights I don't have to be on duty with Katie) and relaxing with a couple sessions of prenatal yoga a week. I have been feeling the baby move since about 12 weeks into the pregnancy. There are more punches this time or thus far verses what I can recall with Katie. Who knows, maybe it is trying to yelp in on what I'm eating. As for Katelinh, she's hanging in there with us. She doesn't quite understand why Mommy doesn't want to hold her as often but she's just as happy being held by Daddy. She is remembering to kiss her baby brother/sister on a regular basis and curious as to what to expect next. We have noticed Katie loves babies and is a natural babysitter except there's a lot more training before we'll leave these two troublemakers (yes already) alone together.

As for the year of the tiger, we have no tiggers on my side of the family but I believe on Yogi's side, his older brother and niece are tigers. Also, some famous ones like Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster, Stevie Wonder, Marilyn Monroe, and Demi Moore were also born in the year of the tiger. Here's a blurb of what to expect of them:

'Tiger is naturally forgiving, rarely holding grudges for long, it symbolize eternal family values, rate highly friends support and care. Tiger people are difficult to resist, for they are magnetic characters and their natural air of authority confers a certain prestige on them. They are tempestuous yet calm, warm-hearted yet fearsome, courageous in the face of danger yet yielding and soft in mysterious, unexpected places. They enjoy life full of challenges and unexpected events, like visiting unusual places and meet interesting outstanding people. Other people in their part are easily attracted by the tiger's enthusiasm and the course of life. Tiger person finds a pleasure in unpredictable, and while other people would rather make a backward step, he/she is not afraid to explore new and unusual. But it is not that simple to interest the tiger. What they really need is first-hand experience. Usually open and frank, these people are likely to withdraw and you can be aggressive when trapped. As soon as the tiger person has regained his/her sense of security his/her confidence also returns, enabling him/her to set out once more. These people usually tend to trust their instincts, though there is another side of their personality, which assesses situations thoughtfully before launch any actions. Their friends usually secretly admire their determination and optimism, though sometimes may find it complicated to share the tiger's enthusiasm and can be pushed away and left behind.' http://www.gotohoroscope.com/chinese-zodiac-tiger.html
